The Intelligent Robots unit has closed its largest deal in its history, valued in \u20ac7.3 million, for the design, manufacture, and installation of two assembly and testing lines for electric and hybrid vehicles\u2019 components, with one of the top five global Tier 1, a North American automotive company, for its new factory in Portugal. Airtificial Intelligent Robots\u2019 technology enables Tier 1s to optimise their manufacturing processes for electric vehicle components through new artificial vision systems, production chain tracking, data analysis, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Airtificial will install in the next year the two &#8216;intelligent&#8217; lines, equipped with highly automatised technology for the long series production of components for electric and hybrid vehicles, at its customer&#8217;s new factory. The first of these two lines assemblies and tests two fundamental parts of the vehicle: the engine, hybrid or electric, and its respective energy inverter, which is responsible for transferring the energy from the car&#8217;s battery to the engine, and regulates the amount of energy required when driving the vehicle, a fundamental part that influences important aspects as the cars&#8217; autonomy or the speed at which the battery is recharged. This first automatised line has a total of 14 assembly and testing stations and requires five workers to operate.<\/p>\n<p>The second assembly line included in this contract has 16 different stations, requires 10 operators, and is used for the installation of the engine with the inverter, already assembled both in one block, in the final casing of the vehicle&#8217;s engine. These assembly lines are equipped by Airtificial with technology and robotics, which improves the manufacturing times and costs of components for its customers, which is highly valued in the automotive industry. For example, these lines will have cycle times of less than 100 seconds and will have an annual production capacity of more than 180,000 pieces in total.<\/p>\n<p>Airtificial Intelligent Robots expands its projects&#8217; portfolio in the electric and hybrid car industry, a sector in full growth, which fits in with the Company&#8217;s strategy to strengthen its positioning in the energy efficiency process of the different industries.<\/p>\n<p>Airtificial&#8217;s CEO, Guillermo Fern\u00e1ndez de Pe\u00f1aranda, says; &#8220;This agreement represents a milestone for the Company as it shows its great potential and its solid positioning in key growing sectors. Also, it shows that leading car manufacturers value our technological and engineering solutions, consolidating us as a unique and differential partner due to our knowledge and experience in the critical components of modern vehicles and especially in electrified ones&#8221;.
