Airtificial signs a new contract in China

Madrid, July 31, 2025. Airtificial is strengthening its presence in Asia with the award of a new high-tech project for one of the world’s Top 20 Tier-1 suppliers, along with the relocation of its headquarters and the expansion of its operations hub in China. Both milestones, within the activities of its Intelligent Robots division, consolidate its position as a strategic partner in automation solutions for the automotive industry worldwide.

Guillermo Fernández de Peñaranda, CEO of Airtificial, declared: “With our new facilities in Suzhou, we gain speed and technical capability to continue providing process automation services to our current and future customers in Asia. This award, and the projects that preceded it, are a direct reflection of the Asian automotive market’s confidence in our technology and our determination to continue growing.”

The execution of the €1.8 million contract covers the design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and turnkey delivery of a fully automated assembly line to produce the Motor and Power Module (EPS MPP), a key component in Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems. This line has been designed to offer high operational flexibility, enabling the production of different models and adapting to the technical requirements of each one in a very short time. Managed by a single operator, the line has a cycle time of 28 seconds. The delivery time for this assembly line is 22 weeks, reflecting Airtificial’s commitment to efficiency and industrial innovation.

This new project adds to a series of recent awards in the region that drive the sustained growth of the Intelligent Robots division in Asia. In recent months, Airtificial has signed seven contracts in China and India for end customers such as Renault, Nissan and Tata. With this track record, Airtificial positions itself as a key technology partner in the transition towards smarter, more automated, and efficient mobility, providing advanced automation solutions with global impact.

In addition, and in response to the growing volume of activity on the Asian continent, Airtificial has announced the relocation of its headquarters and operations center to new facilities in the Suzhou Industrial Park (Suzhou, Jiangsu), one of China’s leading technology hubs. The new facilities cover an area of 4,500 square meters, tripling the space previously available. This expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to operate locally to optimize delivery times, enabling it to manage the increasing number of projects and enlarge its technical and production capacity in the region.
