Airtificial secures €3 million contract with new automotive client in Poland

Madrid, 7 October 2025. Airtificial Group has signed a €3 million contract with a new client, a major global Tier-1 supplier in the automotive sector, for the design, manufacture and commissioning of two production lines dedicated to the assembly, inspection and automated testing of door interior modules for a renowned sports car brand. The project, to be executed by the Intelligent Robots division, will run for 52 weeks and will be developed in two phases: the first at the company’s Barcelona plant, and from week 43 of production, the lines will be transferred and installed turnkey at the client’s new facility in Poland.

Each production line measures 80 metres in length by 40 metres in width and incorporates a high level of artificial intelligence systems, enabling the Tier-1 to reduce the production cycle time to just 30 seconds. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the lines offer exceptional flexibility, allowing for the assembly of up to four different types of doors corresponding to two car models. They integrate state-of-the-art technologies, including robotics, machine vision, image processing, software for functional and cosmetic verification, data acquisition and traceability systems, LIN communications to simulate and activate vehicle signals, and torque-controlled screwdrivers and zero-gravity arms for handling large and heavy components.

The functional verification systems ensure the correct operation of electric window regulators, mirror positioners, locks, LED indicators and window blocking systems, while cosmetic verification guarantees that materials are free of surface defects, exhibit flawless finishes, appropriate colours and textures, and meet design specifications. In total, 30 specialised operators will oversee the production lines.

Guillermo Fernández de Peñaranda, CEO of Airtificial Group, stated: “This contract is strategic both for our new client and for our Intelligent Robots division. With this new award, Airtificial strengthens its presence in Eastern Europe and takes another step forward in its diversification strategy. It also opens the door to new clients with significant collaboration potential.”

Through this agreement, Airtificial continues to pursue its strategy of diversifying its client and product portfolio in a highly competitive market. The company’s extensive experience, strong technical capabilities and international expansion strategy – with a particular focus on Asian markets such as India and China – continue to strengthen client confidence.

The new client is a leading Spanish manufacturer of automotive interior components and forms part of an international group of Indian origin with a global presence across five continents. Its recent investments in new facilities in Eastern Europe further consolidate its position as a key player in the European automotive market.
