Airtificial strengthens its international presence

Madrid, 27 January 2026. Airtificial Group continues to strengthen its geographical diversification and international expansion strategy with the signing of three new contracts for clients operating in Morocco, Thailand and Romania. These countries are strategic markets for automotive development due to their cost competitiveness, operational efficiency and production capacity. The Intelligent Robots division will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and implementing automation technology for the production and assembly chains of electric and hybrid vehicles for Tier-1 clients and global OEMs.

For the plant of a well-known car manufacturer in Morocco, Airtificial will develop new technology for advanced steering and transmission systems aimed at the production of next-generation vehicle models. The project will support two OEM automotive groups, one Euro-American and one Asian. Airtificial will supply high-performance components such as Electric Power Steering (EPS) and Steer-by-Wire, a key technology in electric vehicles that enhances active safety. The robotic and intelligent line enables production cycle times of under 30 seconds and ensures output of over 105 units per hour. It also incorporates the latest process control technologies to guarantee full traceability, quality and ergonomic working conditions for line operators.

In Thailand, the project to be developed will ensure full automation for the application of paint layers on surfaces, using heat and specific techniques such as stippling or glazing, aimed at creating realistic or stylised leather-like textures. This type of finish is used in accessory manufacturing and industrial leather finishing to achieve special textures. The client is a global Tier-1 supplier and sector leader headquartered in the United States, renowned for its seating and electrical systems supplied to the world’s leading automotive manufacturers. Airtificial will design and implement a fully automated, state-of-the-art manufacturing assembly system capable of handling leather sheets for 23 seat types, with a cycle time of 7.5 seconds.

Finally, in Romania, the project will focus on the manufacture of airbag inflators, one of the key components of passive safety systems. This element is responsible for generating inert gas through a rapid chemical or pyrotechnic reaction to inflate the airbag within milliseconds, creating a protective barrier for vehicle occupants. It functions as a cartridge and is replaced after deployment. The project involves the implementation of an automated process with a 10-second cycle time, operated by a single operator per line and capable of producing up to seven different models.

Guillermo Fernández de Peñaranda, CEO of Airtificial, stated: “These new contracts reinforce our international growth strategy and consolidate Airtificial’s position as a leading technology partner for the automotive industry in key markets known for their industrial competitiveness.”

These new projects ensure the continuity of Airtificial’s growth in strategically important geographical areas, combining emerging economies with expanding industrial markets, and further strengthening its positioning as a high-value technological partner with advanced technical capabilities and the highest quality standards.
