E- MOBILITY / SUCCESS CASE / 528-01 – Audi eTron Inverter final assy

Challenge

Manufacturing a production line of 25 automated stations for a new release on a 22-week deadline and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HOW DID WE DO IT?

  • Using standardized modular stations helped lower design and manufacturing time.
  • Despite being a new product, our expert team’s extensive know-how in introducing and implementing cutting-edge technologies resulted in a highly-efficient solution rollout.
  • Strong communication between Airtificial and product experts in the US and the manufacturing plant in Poland led to quick decision-making throughout the project.
  • Validation timing was kept the same even with COVID-19 restrictions. This is largely owing to the implementation of new technologies such as VR and streaming.
  • Implementing a continuous flow system between design and manufacturing, making great use of concurrent engineering, which includes the customer’s product design.
