SUCCESS STORIES | ADAS / Motor Controller Modular Assembly and Test Line

Challenge

Process routing flexibility and project implementation during the pandemic.

HOW DID WE DO IT:

  • New specific standard for this type of processes.
  • Through an extensive use of stand-alone modular systems that make it easier to move stations, implement new processes, and change production lines to suit new product demands, both implementation costs and time have gone down 50% compared to older generations.
  • Validation timing has been kept the same even with COVID-19 restrictions. This is largely owing to the use of new technologies such as VR and streaming, which remove the need to travel and increase flexibility throughout the validation process.
  • This level of routing flexibility has allowed us to setup the layout according to customer needs with owners in or out of the production line without having to make any changes to stations.
