PV PLANT IN SAN LUIS TALPA. EL SALVADOR.

Installing a photovoltaic plant with an installed power of 6,318,000 Wp, comprising photovoltaic modules on single-axis solar trackers. It is estimated that it will generate 13,000 MWh/year of power with 46 kV mains supply voltage.

The solar plant will comprise 19,440 photovoltaic modules producing 325 Wp, featuring polycrystalline technology, mounted on a metal frame with a horizontal single-axis solar tracking system with N-S rotation.

The photovoltaic modules will be fitted vertically in two rows of 30 serially-connected modules, which will be mounted on 216 trackers, each consisting of 90 modules.

The transformation from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) will be conducted through three inverter units, each with an estimated power of 1.52 MW. These inverters will be connected to 2 current transformers of 1.52 and 3.5 MVA, and with a transformation ratio of 650/20,000 V.

BUILDING AND FITTING OUT FOUR DAY-CARE CENTERS IN THE CENTRAL DISTRICT OF TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS

The goal of this project is to have the appropriate and equipped physical infrastructure, and the skilled and specialized workers for the comprehensive care and development of children from 3 months to 4 years of age, in order to support single working mothers with limited economic resources in the Central District. The day-care centers are located in Villanueva, Altos de Santa Rosa, Nueva Jerusalén and Ciudad Cataluña.

The project includes three lines of action or components:

  • Component 1: Infrastructure.
  • Component 2: Training the staff who will work at the municipal day-care centers.
  • Component 3: Fitting out the day-care centers according to age groups.

BUILDING AND FITTING OUT THE EL PINALITO LANDFILL, IN GRACIAS, LEMPIRA. HONDURAS

The project involves building and fitting out a mechanized landfill in El Pinalito, for the municipalities of Gracias and Belén, located in the department of Lempira. Its goal is the fitting-out and operation of a system for the collection, transport and treatment of solid waste. A total of 66,000 inhabitants will directly benefit from this project, while 31,000 of the community will indirectly benefit.

The proposed activities are:

  • The construction of the El Pinalito mechanized landfill (preliminary works, physical works in the cell, physical works in the special-waste cell, supplementary works and fitting out).
  • A system for collection and final disposal by acquiring the necessary material, machinery and equipment for street sweeping, collection and final disposal of solid waste, according to technical specifications recommended in studies alongside the technical support to the community and municipalities.

BUILDING A WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ON THE OZAMA RIVER, SANTO DOMINGO. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

The construction of the Ozama River wastewater treatment plant was proposed in the SANTO DOMINGO AQUEDUCT AND SANITATION MASTER PLAN (PMASSD), named PTAR Mirador Norte-La Zurza. It will be ultimately located in Mirador Norte Park, on the left bank of the Isabela River, 5 km upstream from where it meets the Ozama River.

The design population equivalent is 465,526 inhabitants and the total daily volume to be treated is 103,835 m3/day.

BUILDING, OPERATING, MANAGING FACILITIES FOR AND DISMANTLING THE SPANISH HALL AT THE 2010 WORLD EXPO IN SHANGHAI CHINA. CHINA

Closed-price construction of the Spanish hall for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. The contract also includes operating and maintaining the building for the 6 months in which the Expo opens to the public, and its subsequent dismantling.

The implementation budget for the hall, which has a built surface area of around 8,500 m2, stands at EUR 17.8 million. The main subcontractor is China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. The tight scheduling means it will be built in as little as 306 days, with peaks of more than 180 operators employed daily. The facade boasts more than 8,500 warped rattan structure panels woven with wicker in three different textures and colors, comprising an approximate surface area of 25,000 m2 of wicker. The structure of tubular steel profiles is split into a main structure, bound to the foundation, and a secondary structure, hung from the first, providing support for the building’s scales.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND SITE MANAGEMENT OF 42 PROJECTS AND FACILITY MANAGEMENT OF 130 HALLS AT THE 2008 ZARAGOZA WATER EXPO. SPAIN.

Local project management for the 2008 Zaragoza Expo: Consultancy and assistance services to conduct the coordination, site management and comprehensive technical management of the set of actions included in the projects of the exhibition halls and the temporary architecture of the themed squares.

Actions included: Buildings containing the international halls and the building containing the halls of autonomous regions and companies (221,500 m2  of built surface area). General enclosure systems of the Expo (fire protection, notices, etc.). Infrastructure of the participating halls, premises, restaurants, service points, offices, parking, logistics and operations centers, modular spaces, etc.; themed spaces (7 halls, each spanning 2,000 m2 ).

PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF THE URBAN PLANNING HOUSING PLAN ACTIONS IN BARCELONA, PHASE II. SPAIN.

Project management for seven urban planning activities related to restructuring public and road spaces in Barcelona. The task includes on-site support at the property, project management and health and safety and coordination.

  • Monitoring and quality control for project drafting
  • Technical and administrative support for the customer’s technical management
  • Site management of the works

The urban planning actions are:

  1. Porta action unit IV;
  2. Carrer del Montnegre and the square between Carrer de l’Equador, Carrer d’Entença, Carrer del Montnegre and Travessera de les Corts;

  4. Carrer Marqués de Sentmentat in Les Corts;
  5. Carrer Góngora and public spaces in the Governador neighborhood;

PROJECT MANAGEMENT DE TRES EDIFICIOS JUDICIALES EN CATALUÑA. ESPAÑA.

Full project management and construction of three new judicial buildings of district courts in Olot, Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Cerdanyola del Vallés. Project registered in the series of public-private funding actions of the Department of Justice of the Government of Catalonia.

  • Judicial building in Olot: 4000 m2  of built surface area, including four stories above ground and one underground floor. Completion period: 20 months.
  • Judicial building in Santa Coloma de Gramenet: 7000 m2  of built surface area, including five stories above ground and two underground floors. Completion period: 26 months.
  • Judicial building in Cerdanyola del Vallés: 8200 m2  of built surface area, including three stories above ground and one underground floor. Completion period: 25 months.

PROJECT MONITORING FOR THE ORFEÓ MARTINENC BUILDING AND YOUTH HOSTEL. SPAIN.

This project involved carrying out part of the actions of a comprehensive project management service for all stages of the building’s construction, with the main ones being: Administrative work for receiving permits, licenses, requesting temporary work services and final work services from service firms, conducting bid requests and comparative studies for awarding contracts, monitoring  work planning and costs, etc.

PROJECT MONITORING for the construction of a building with a gross floor area of 6,000 m2 , divided into 13 floors from the street level up and 2 basement floors. This building is located at 97 Avenida de la Meridiana, Barcelona. This building is to be used for two different purposes, these being: Venue for the new Orfeón Martinenc and Youth Hostel.

Gross floor area of 6,0002. Thirteen floors above ground level. Two basement floors. Theater with capacity for 276 seats. Hostel with accommodation for 348 people.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND FACILITY MANAGEMENT FOR THE SPANISH HALL AT THE 2005 AICHI WORLD EXPO. JAPAN.

Comprehensive project management services: Designing, producing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and dismantling the Spanish Hall at the 2005 AICHI World Expo (Japan).

Under this joint venture, AIRTIFICIAL provided the following professional services:

  • Conducting the procurement process in full.
  • Applying for licenses and permits in Japan
  • Monitoring costs, deadlines, and quality
  • Certifications and handovers
  • Managing the contract with the customer

Hall with a total floor surface area of 1800 m2 and a 600 m2 mezzanine floor. Lattice envelope of hexagonal tile pieces in six different colors. The hall’s interior was broken up into six rooms (exhibition areas) distributed around a large central space or square.
