The MODIERCO project (Data Acquisition Sensors in composite manufacturing processes to create a digital twin) involved the development of a network of sensors distributed throughout the production process of composite components. The project manages digital information within a centralized data pool, creating a Cyber-Physical System equipped with simulation tools that monitor the behavior of the structure and enable the prediction of how a component will perform, allowing potential failures to be anticipated before they occur.
The MODIERCO project was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism under the 2019 call for financial support for R&D&I projects within the scope of Connected Industry 4.0, under grant file number IC4-030000-2019-2.
